Fresno State vs. Boise State

The Fresno State Bulldogs are set to play the Boise State Broncos on September 18, at 6:00 p.m. PST on ESPN. Fresno State (1-1) has had trouble in the past beating Boise State (2-0). After the Broncos have not lost a game to the Bulldogs the in the past 3 seasons. Hopefully this will not be a repeat of last years game which ended up 61-10 Boise State.

Since joining the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 1992, the Fresno State Bulldogs have won or shared the conference title 3 times. However, ever since Boise State entered the WAC in 2001, the Bulldogs have been shut down.

This game is crucial for the Bulldogs to get back on their feet as they took a lost in double overtime against Wisconsin last week (34-31). Despite the loss to Wisconsin Ryan Mathews still had 19 carries and rushed for 107 yards. Overall Ryan Mathews in the last two games has had 30 total carries with a total of 226 rushing yards, including a touchdown.

Its All About Defense
The Boise State Broncos have only allowed 1 touchdown from Oregon in their 19-8 win. These Broncos are no joke and have yielded 178 yards per contest.

Fresno State’s Daunting Schedule
This 3 week stretch of games will show if the Fresno State Bulldogs belong this season or not. First starting off with Wisconsin, following that game up with Boise State, then lastly traveling to Cincinnati #17 on September 26th.

Hopefully the Bulldogs will take advantage of Boise State having 2 consecutive road games.
